Rock Painting for “A Night for the Cure!” (@Woodloch)

On 10/04 a group of friends, just a bunch of novices (honestly!) got together to paint rocks.  The rocks will become part of the table decorations @”A Night for the Cure”.  The rocks carry the hashtag “#ANightfortheCure”.  The hope is that these rocks will be shared by everyone that picks one up and leaves it someplace else and then posts to that hashtag along with a photo…

Come to Woodloch on 10/21, beginning @5 pm for their annual “Tricky Tray” fundraiser for Breast Cancer.  A fun night with awesome raffles and a super important cause!  Help kick cancer…

Fundraiser/Auction for Delaware Highlands Conservancy

On Saturday, 10/10/20 from 1-4:00, The Art Factory of White Mills will be hosting a special event and auction to raise awareness and money for the Delaware Highlands Conservancy.  This non-profit, very worthwhile cause protects the land, air & water in NEPA! The Art Factory is proud to work with many of our artists…  These artists have generously donated their time and talents to create a unique, one-of-a-kind, hand-made “TROUT” in the genre they work in.  We are expecting some very interesting and exciting results! 100% of the sales of these trout will be donated directly to the DHC to help them continue their great work! On Saturday, 10/10/20 from 1-4:00, the Art Factory will be unveiling the artists’ renditions.  Please stop in and see the fantastic, creative talents of these artists!  Then go home and bid on one or more of these impressive pieces! Each trout will be individually listed on our online auction at TheArtFactoryofWhiteMills.com.  The auction will run from 10/10/20 through 10/31/20.  Winners will be notified by e-mail on 11/01/20. On Saturday, 10/10/20 from 1-4:00, we will also be showcasing our newest multi-artist, multi-media installation, “Birds of Prey”.  Come see the local talent!  Artists will be on-hand to “meet & greet” you.  Delaware Highlands Conservancy will have representatives here as well to explain who and what they do!  Light refreshments will be served.

Free admission, although donations for DHC will be greatly appreciated!

Do You Know… … Bozena Janszweski?

Bozena was born in Poland.  She now resides in Honesdale, PA.  From her early childhood, Bozena has loved to observe nature and paint what she sees.  While she did study art in high school, she received her Bachelors in education.  As an Elementary Ed teacher, she has encouraged a number of her students to continue in the field.  Bozena now has students that she taught holding Art degrees!

Art is important in her mind and her life.  Bozena admires God’s creations around her.  She believes that her creations are only a humble copying of His art!

While Bozena loves to change techniques and objects, she favors oil painting.  She uses this medium to paint “still life”, portraits and occasionally uses pastels for surrealistic compositions.

Bozena favors Daniel Keys and Konstantin Kacev’s art.  In addition to painting, Bozena enjoys gardening, history, pottery and traveling.

Bozena offers classes and workshops (drawing, painting and pottery) at The Art Factory.  Her beautiful and unique pottery begins at $30.00.  Come see, at The Art Factory of White Mills.
